How to add a watermark to a PDF
- Drop your PDF.
- Type your text (or choose a logo image), then pick the size, angle, colour and how faint it should be.
- Click Add watermark and download.
Questions
Can I use my own logo?
Yes. Choose "Image", pick a PNG or JPG (a PNG with a transparent background looks best), and set the size and how faint it is.
Does it work with any language?
Yes. The text is drawn with your device fonts, so Hindi, Chinese, Arabic and emoji work too.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Yes. Type pages such as 1-3, 7 in "Pages". Leave it empty to stamp every page.
Can the watermark be removed later?
It is added on top of the page like a stamp, so a person with PDF editing software could remove it. It is meant to mark a document, not to lock it. To stop others opening the file, add a password with Protect PDF.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Everything is drawn in your browser tab.
Can I password-protect the result?
Yes. Switch on "Password-protect" and the result is encrypted with AES-256. It is off by default.
